Mieke is an up-and-coming artist, producing her dreamy tracks in her bedroom on the outskirts of Te-Whanganui a-Tara, Aotearoa, New Zealand. Inspired by the ambience of liminal spaces, fogged hilltops, lucid dreams and nostalgia, her songs are made to touch your soul and make you feel how the sky looks during a glowing pink sunset. 

She began her career in 2019, producing and releasing her EP Fake Headlight in 2021 and in January 2023 her debut solo album all & everything before spring was released, showcasing the heartbreak of unrequited love and nostalgia for the haze of childhood only a memory can bring. 

Mieke’s current project, the unreleased solo album Frau Eva, showcases her talent like never before. From the first track you are lulled into dreams, taken to an abandoned church and told a story about women and how they are treated by men who hurt them. Writing songs of comfort, her album is an open diary for her younger self and all the girls left in the ruins of masculine destruction - ranging from soft lullabies to a wall of sound, filled with the screaming of feminine rage. 

Mieke wishes to function as a source of sound without a body - her music to feel as fog or a northern light, as rain or the soft pink of 9pm clouds in the summer.
